Richard is an accomplished Insurance Executive with both local and international experience. An actuary by profession, he has over twenty-one (21) years of experience in total including nine (9) years in the United States and Eleven (12) years of senior management and directorship roles in Ghana.

A dynamic and decisive leader, Richard has over the years leveraged his extensive knowledge and expertise in Insurance and Financial Services to spearhead operational improvements and drive profitability at various institutions.

He holds a master’s degree in actuarial science from the University of Connecticut, U.S.A and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana.

As an insurance enthusiast, he was last appointed as the Managing Director of Phoenix Life Insurance company in 2013, a position he held until 2022. He has also served in various capacities as a Director on Boards and chaired Committees.

Richard is currently the General Secretary of the ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Scheme.
